Technology-based learning (e-learning courses, online books, simulations and videos) is oft en not the primary means of developing leadership skills, but it can be used effectively within a blended learning program. The benefit of using technology is that organizations can extend reach to more employees (wherever they are), the training can progress more rapidly, and the positive results can be extended over a longer period. Given the enormous amount many organizations spend to develop future leaders, being able to achieve a measurable improvement in the reach and eff ectiveness of leadership development more than justifies the investment in technology-based learning.
